Design Studio IV was primarily dedicated to addressing the prevalent challenges associated with deep plan projects, specifically focusing on issues related to lighting and ventilation. Under the guidance of Juan Frigerio, an esteemed architect and partner at Norman + Partners, our project proposed an innovative solution through the integration of a glass enclosure with varying opacities. This approach, combined with strategically placed interior ramps, not only cultivates distinctive spatial experiences but also eliminates the necessity for traditional partition walls. By optimizing the distribution of light throughout the plan, our proposal ensures enhanced environmental quality and spatial flexibility, effectively resolving the constraints typically encountered in deep plan designs.
